Has your heart ever felt like it was bursting with joy and gratitude? Like all the love in your core was exploding into a million little pieces and filling you up from your head to your toes? If so, you've experienced what it's like to have a heart like confetti. It's a feeling I try to carry with me from day to day as I look for joy in the mundane and wonder in the ordinary. 

I'm Stephanie, by the way.  

Me, in a nutshell : 

City girl. Cupcake connoisseur. Begins each day with a warm beverage (usually coffee). Has a major sweet tooth. Loves taking photos and sharing stories. Wants to travel the world with her husband and then come home and write about it. 

... And the slightly longer version : 

I'm a small town girl by birth but my heart was made for the city.

I was born & raised on the east coast but at the age of 23 I caught a case of wanderlust and, on a bit of a whim, decided to move across the country all on my own. Fast forward 3 years later and here I am: a newlywed, happily married to a sweet Lego-loving engineer. I'm not one to brag but he's pretty much the greatest guy on the face of the planet.  (You can read our wedding story here) Together we make our home in a thriving metropolis by the sea, also known as Vancouver, and spend our time exploring all that the west coast as to offer.

I am a coffee-drinking, beach-strolling, dessert-eating, good-book-reading quintessential city girl. I live surrounded by a delightful posse of sweet, fun-loving characters who I am fortunate enough to call my friends. I love city skylines all lit up at night, Root Beer floats, spontaneous road trips, chocolate-covered macadamia nuts, songs with amazing lyrics and nail polish - these are a few of my favorite things! Oh, and I also love food ... a lot. Especially Pad Thai. And spaghetti with meatballs. And my mom's homemade peach cobbler hot out of the oven. Mmmm.

Also, that photo above was taken on my wedding day by a professional photographer (Mikaela Ruth Photography). My hair was professionally styled and my makeup professionally done. In other words, I don't really look like that most of the time. I usually look more like this -
